Wound

The pieces for this exhibition grew out of an interest in process and a desire to make work in a quiet way.

I had previously used variegated baby’s wool in a series of small knitted works and found that it was the chance element in colour alignment that most interested me.

Having decided on certain parameters this chance element became formative in developing this series of wound paintings.

The work presents as a kind of `techno-craft’, the result of gambling on manufacturing gone wrong.
